UX: the key to a successful hotel

The TL;DR

PMS UX isn’t just about clicks and screens. It’s about morale, efficiency, and keeping your best employees engaged.

Good PMS UX plays a pivotal role in day-to-day operations for managers and their teams. It empowers employees, translating into higher morale, engagement, and long-term loyalty.

What does good PMS UX look like?

Ease of use and action orientation for employees

Why it’s important

For front-of-house employees, the ability to intuitively access multiple functions within the PMS system simultaneously translates into efficiently managing daily operational tasks alongside guest requests.

How Cloudbeds does it

There is no switching with Cloudbeds. Cloudbeds’ calendar allows the front desk staff to instantly open a drawer, showing a reservation and integrated messaging thread. The employee can answer the request and immediately return to what they’re doing without losing their place.

The result

Lack of contextual switching means greater employee focus, easier onboarding, and faster task completion time. With less focus on the technical, employees can engage directly with guests and ensure a great guest experience.

Cloudbeds, and I say this to anyone that will listen, is probably the most intuitive PMS that I’ve ever worked with. I’ve used some super complex systems that were completely unnecessary — the UX was overbearing and you had to spend so much time training in order to just start using it.

We are connected to different apps – we have the RMS, cart abandonment and more, but we are confident we can easily build via the API any application we need. For example, we’ve build an app to notify our Telegram group with key stakeholders for changes in reservations, especially at risk ones.

Scalability enabling business expansion

Why it’s important

A PMS that supports multi-property growth empowers business owners. By alleviating the fear of how systems will work together, owners and management can focus on expanding their businesses.

How Cloudbeds does it

With Cloudbeds, easily add and switch between properties, make reservation and rate changes, and compare portfolio performance all in one place. Ensure a consistent guest experience with centralized guest profiles and conduct portfolio-wide campaigns.

The result

Visibility into portfolio performance and multi-property functionality enable cross-departmental collaboration, leading to better business outcomes such as increased loyalty, retention, and expansion.

Cloudbeds is a complete, yet very simple, system. Through onboarding, within a few hours -depending on your dedication- you are able to put a new property open for sale and operate it. This will also guarantee assertiveness in data, growth, and practical customer service. New employees can intuitively learn how to use the system, without long training or time-consuming process.

Integrations

Why it’s important

Every hotel has different requirements for its tech stack, and a PMS with flexible integration capabilities ensures seamless connectivity and data flow between systems.

How Cloudbeds does it

Cloudbeds has hundreds of integration partners with deep, two-way connections, enabling hotels to adopt the tools of their choice without the fear of disruptions in case of switching.

The result

Freedom to adopt the tools necessary to support your hotel, knowing that they can be easily integrated into your PMS to streamline operations, empowering your teams to perform day-to-day tasks with ease.

For me, one of the biggest reasons for choosing Cloudbeds was all the integrations. I also like that you have a service that you can say, oh, we want to integrate with this — and you actually do it pretty quick.

See how much your PMS is costing you.

The right PMS can save you more than you think.
