Choosing a scalable solution
When it came to choosing a hospitality platform, Dallin Tait, Co-founder and General Manager, wasnβt sure if Cloudbeds would keep up with their vision of rapid growth, but it worked extremely well. He shares, βJust in the last few years I feel like technology has come to a spot where boutique hotels can compete with franchises that before would have been really difficultβ.
Besides being easy to teach to staff, Cloudbeds helps make the online booking process smooth and seamless. And the results speak for themselves, βright now weβre driving about 65% direct bookings,β remarks Dallin.
More efficient guest communication, maintenance, and rate management
Cloudbeds’ resort management system has also helped Bluff Dwellings significantly improve guest communication thanks to Whistle for Cloudbeds. Dallin explains, βIt allows us to text all our guests. And I always have a lot of guests that donβt reply to emails or that donβt like to answer phone calls, but theyβll text us.β He continues, βWe have a 24-hour front desk and theyβre able to communicate with guests really effectively that way.β
Additionally, the team at Bluff Dwellings has implemented an integration with Flexkeeping to help manage their housekeeping and maintenance digitally, allowing them to operate more efficiently. Theyβve also adopted AI-powered revenue management to manage their rates and earn more revenue, as Dallin describes it
Weβre using AI-powered revenue management. Our prices will change based on demandβ¦since weβve started using that, weβve seen a good increase.
Cloud-based = easy remote access
Being cloud-based, Cloudbeds has also allowed Dallin to spend more time at home with his family. As he puts it,
I can fix almost anything without being on the property, which is excellent.
With an on-site wastewater treatment plant that helps water all the propertyβs vegetation, a commitment to employing members of the local community, and a concerted effort towards honoring the cultures of the past, the team at Bluff Dwellings certainly cares about the community and environment.
Itβs no wonder then that, as Dallin puts it, “A lot of people, once they discover it, just keep coming back year after year.”
