Hungary

The TL;DR

Compliance doesn’t need to be complicated. Learn how local e-invoicing, fiscalization, and reporting work and explore Cloudbeds’ trusted integration partners.

Government compliance - Hungary

E-invoicing

The Hungarian tax authorities issued a directive that all B2C and B2B transactions be done in real-time, regardless of the transaction amount. This means that all invoices must be communicated to the Hungarian government’s Online Invoicing System (Online Szmla).

Fiscalization receipts

The Hungarian authorities are requesting the use of a certified point-of-sale (POS), meaning that all components (including the POS application and fiscal device, including the fiscal printer, customer display, fiscal controller AEE, fiscal memory, electronic journal, and communication module) must be certified.

It is necessary to have a local partner who will apply for certification on your behalf. Upon successful certification, the Hungarian Tax and Customs Office issues a certificate.

Police reporting

There is a requirement to communicate guest information with the Hungarian police authorities. This can be done manually; however, Cloudbeds is investigating automated solutions in this space.
